In a large pan over high heat, add sofrito and tomato sauce. Cook for about 2 minutes. Make sure to mix this a couple of times to make sure the sofrito doesn't stick to the bottom of the pan.
Add your meat, sazón, adobo, olives, and water. Break up the meat while it cooks. This is to avoid having lumps of beef. Cook for 10 minutes. Serve and enjoy.
Notes
1. For this recipe I used ground beef but you can use the same recipe for ground turkey or ground chicken.2. If you want your meat to get crispy, just cook it for about another 4 minutes without moving the meat so the bottom can get nice and crispy.3. If you want the meat to be very saucy, I suggest you cook it with a lid on so you can trap most of the juices and avoid a lot of water evaporation.4. This recipe yields four 4 portions but this is if you are planning to eat it as a main dish with vegetables or rice. But if this recipe is to use as a filling it would yield more portions. 5. You can add different veggies to this and it will only make the recipe better. You can add 1 small cubed potato. To make this recipe with a potato add 1 tablespoon of olive oil or any oil you use for cooking, and brown the potato for about 2 minutes and then follow the recipe.Remember that this recipe is perfect to be a filling for many recipes. You can make empanadas, burritos, tacos, nachos, and many other recipes.
