You can make a Nutella Frappe at home faster, cheaper and better than any restaurant or coffee shop at home. The best part is that you can adjust it to your liking. This is the perfect drink for kids and adults because it is sweet but not overly sweet.

A large cup with a Nutella Frappe with whipped cream and chocolate drizzle with a straw.

This Nutella Frappe is one of those dessert drinks that are perfect for any weather. Is a chocolate frappe that is refreshing in summer and comforting in winter.

This is a drink very similar to the Nutella frozen cup or the Nutella flavor cocktail but made in different ways.

But this Nutella frappe reminds me of Puerto Rico. Sunday nights going to a nearby Church’s Chicken and getting a pancho sandwich with a biscuit, corn nuggets, and this frappe.

    Recipe Ingredients

All the ingredients needed to make a nutella frappe.
    • Ice- I used store-bought ice, but you can use any type of ice you like. If you’re using homemade ice, make sure your blender can blender. Because homemade ice, tends to be harder that storebought one.
    • Whole milk- I used whole fresh milk, but you can substitute your favorite type of milk. You can use oats, or even soy. But keep in mind that this can slightly change the flavor of the drink.
    • Heavy cream- The heavy cream is going to help us get the right texture. It helps us to get a creamy drink.
    • Sugar- We only use a little bit of white sugar to help the drink with the sweetness.
    • Nutella- This is the star of the show. You can always add more if you like your drink to be super chocolatey.

Can I make a frappe with only milk?

    • You can make a frappe with only milk, but you’ll get a more watery texture. If you want a restaurant or cafe-style frappe, you need to add heavy cream to get the same creamy consistency.

How to Make A Nutella Frappe

Collage on how to make a chocolate frappe and on the left garnishing the cup and mixing everything on the right.
    • Photo 1: The first thing I like to do is to add some Nutella to my serving cup. This is an optional step, but it really helps with the presentation of the drink.
    • Photo 2: Add all the ingredients to a small blender and blend for 1 minute. This can take longer depending on how powerful your blender is.

    Recipe Tips

    • Blender. If your blender is not that powerful, you can try to break the ice into smaller pieces before adding it to the blender. This helps the drink not get too watery from blending for a long time.
    • Toppings. If you want to add some texture to the drink, add some Ferrero chocolates or Kinder Bueno chocolates. You can use them both in the drink or as a topping.
    • Frappuccino. Make it a chocolate coffee frappe by adding instant coffee.

    Ingredients

    • 2 cups ice
    • ¾ cup milk
    • ½ cup heavy cream
    • 1 tablespoon sugar
    • ¼ cup Nutella
    • whipped cream. (optional)
Prevent your screen from going dark

    Instructions

    • Add all of your ingredients into a blender. Mix for 1 minute or until the Nutella is mixed in well.
    • Add Nutella to your serving cup or drizzle some chocolate syrup on the inside (this is optional). Pour all of the frappe into the cup and enjoy. Buen provecho!

    Recipe Notes

    • Heavy cream- In this case, the heavy cream is needed so your frappe can thicken. You can leave it out, but you won’t get the same texture.
    • Blender- If you can, it is best to use a blender with a small cup. This is because it will be easier to pour all the frappe from a smaller cup.
    • Toppings. You can use Ferrero or Kinder Bueno chocolates to add some texture to the drink, but also as toppings.
    • Frappuccino. You can make this into a frappuccino just by adding ½ teaspoon of instant coffee.
