This Berry Coconut Smoothie is very rich and surprisingly refreshing. It is made with a mix of berries and coconut milk and cream for a deep coconut flavor.
The best part of this recipe is that you can make it year-round with frozen berries. Plus, you can use your favorite mix of berries to make it perfect for you.
This berry smoothie is as delicious as the coconut passion fruit smoothie or the famous piña colada recipe.

Why This Recipe Works
- A great recipe to double and share.
- It is so easy to make, you only need to put the ingredients into a mixer and blend!
Recipe Ingredients
- Mixed berries- I use a blend of strawberries, blackberries, blueberries, and red raspberries. But you don’t need to use this same blend, you can tweak it to your tastes and needs.
- Coconut Milk- I recommend using canned coconut milk because it is richer. If you use carton coconut milk, it will have more of the texture of juice rather than a smoothie.
- Cream of coconut- The cream of coconut is a must. Because it depends on the coconut flavor, plus it adds sweetness to the recipe.
- Water- The water helps to balance the thickness of the drink. You can also substitute this for coconut water. It will add even more coconut flavor to the drink.
How to Make A Coconut Berry Smoothie
- Step 1: Add all of your ingredients into a blender. Mix for a minute or until all the berries are completely blended. Now to serve, I like to put it in the fridge and then serve, but this can be consumed right away.
Recipe Tips
- If you like a very thick smoothie, don’t add the water.
- This smoothie is going to have a lot of texture because of the berries. If you like a really smooth drink, I suggest you strain it.
- I think that is always best to refrigerate the smoothie so it can be ice cold before drinking. But when you refrigerate, the smoothie will get hard with all the coconut milk rising to the top. Don’t worry, all you have to do is mix.
Common Question
You can use almond milk or any other milk. The only thing is that the flavor of the smoothie would slightly change.

Recipe Notes
- This recipe yields 4 12-ounce servings. But you can have more or less depending on how many ounces you use for each serving.
- I always recommend chilling the recipe. This is because, since this is a creamy drink, it is best served cold or over ice.
- You can also use fresh berries to make this recipe.
- Make sure to use coconut milk from a can and not a carton. Because the milk from the can is richer.
- You can always make this into a cocktail by adding 2 ounces of alcohol per serving.
