You only need 5 minutes to make this Creamy Jalapeno Sauce. The best part is this can be a sauce to dip, drizzle, or spread!

A hand holding a spoon full of a creamy jalapeno sauce over a big jar with parsley, jalapeno pieces and, tostitos around.

This Creamy Jalapeno Sauce is spicy, but the good kind of spicy. You get the spiciness almost as an aftertaste that is really smooth.

This is a creamy sauce that is as good as my ketchup and mayonnaise sauce and the creamy cilantro sauce. This is the type of sauce, just like the others, that pairs well with seafood, vegetables, or just french fries.

This is the type of sauce that you can spread on a crispy chicken sandwich, drizzle over a pan fried chicken salad, or use it as a dipping sauce for beef and cheese taquitos.

    Recipe Ingredients

All the ingredients needed to make a creamy jalapeno sauce.
    • Mayonnaise- I like using an extra heavy mayonnaise to make this sauce because it gives the sauce a thicker mouthfeel. But you can use your favorite mayonnaise.
    • Sour cream- I add only a tablespoon of sour cream, not too much because the sauce will be thinner and runnier.
    • Pickle jalapenos- I like using pickled jalapenos in this recipe, but you can also use fresh jalapenos. You just have to keep in mind that fresh jalapenos will be way spicier than the pickled ones. You also must remove the seeds if using fresh jalapenos.
    • Seasonings- I use sugar, paprika, garlic, and onion powder.

How to Make Creamy Jalapeno Sauce

    • Photo 1: Add all your ingredients to a food processor or a jar. I don’t use a regular blender unless am doubleling the recipe and making a lot of sauce. I use a hand blender and blend until all the ingredients are well combined. Cover the jar and refrigerate until ready to use.

    Recipe Tips

    • Spice level. If you like your sauce to be really spicy, add more jalapenos or a pinch of cayenne pepper.
    • Store. I like to keep my sauce in the fridge for no more than a week.

    Instructions

    • Add everything into a big jar and blend using a hand blender or use a food processor.
    • Cover the jar and store the sauce in your fridge. Buen provecho!

    Recipe Notes

    • Mayonnaise- For this recipe, I used an extra heavy Helman’s mayonnaise because it is thicker and it creates a creamier sauce. I got the mayonnaise from Walmart, but you can also buy it online. If you can find extra heavy, I like the Duke’s mayonnaise brand. But you can also just use the regular mayonnaise.
    • Jalapeños- I used pickled jalapeños, but you can also use fresh jalapeños. The only thing is that it will make the sauce spicier.
    • Spice level- The sauce is mild, you get the spiciness almost as an aftertaste. So if you want it spicier, just add more jalapeños.
    • Store. Keep your sauce in a bottle or jar covered for up to 1 week in the fridge.
