Get a taste of the tropics by making this Passion Fruit Lemonade. This is a popular Puerto Rican drink where is called limonada de parcha. The passion fruit is very refreshing, perfect on a blazing hot summer day!

This Passion Fruit Lemonade is very popular in the Caribbean because of how accessible passion fruit is. But don’t worry that nowadays you can even get the passion fruit pulp online!
Now, to be fair, this is made with limes instead of lemons. This is because in Puerto Rico, we refer to lemons and limes by the same name. We use them interchangeably.
This lemonade with passion fruit is almost like drinking a passion fruit mojito recipe, but without the rum. I also have many delicious lemonades that you can try, like mixed berries lemonade, lemonade and pineapple, or lemonade with coconut milk.

Why This Recipe Works
- You can make this with fresh or frozen passion fruit that you’ll be able to find in most supermarkets. You can even get the ingredients online.
- You can make a spin on this recipe and make a frozen passion fruit lemonade drink.
Recipe Ingredients

- Passion fruit- I used frozen passion fruit pulp. Not because I couldn’t get the fresh fruit, but because it was way more cost-effective. Of course, this will depend on where you live. But you can use whichever you have.
- Lemons or limes- I used lime juice, not lemon juice, but either one is fine for this recipe. Whenever possible, try to use fresh lemons or limes.
- Sugar- The sugar is needed so we can balance out the tartness of the passion fruit and lime juice. You can also use honey.
- Water- I always use water to dilute the passion fruit pulp. But a good substitute can be a passion fruit juice. The only thing is that it can make the drink sweeter.
How to Make A Passion Fruit Lemonade
- Step 1: You can do this step in a blender or by hand. What I did was, I added everything into a mason jar. I gave it a good shake, and my drink was one. Then on the plus side, I didn’t have to clean any more dishes.
Recipe Tips
- You can drink this juice right after making it, but I always suggest you refrigerate it first. I also always pour over ice.
- You can also make this in a blender and add ice, and make a frozen passion fruit lemonade.
- If you have any leftover passion fruit, you can make a passion fruit and coconut milk smoothie.
